The Oasis 2x2 Leagues

 

Covid-19 Update (06/03/2020)

 The Oasis is going to reopen on Monday, June 15th!

Due the to Covid-19 Pandemic Oasis leagues have temporarily changed format. 

Sunday and Weekday 2s leagues will be a 5-week mini-league that will start the week of June 15th

The cost of the league is $100 per team.

We will resume normal Sunday Session 2, week 2, on Sunday September 13th

 

League Information

2x2's (Session 2 Make-Up League) - September 13th - October 25th:
  • We had only completed one day of Session 2 before the shutdown began.
  • We will utilize this league as a "make-up" league, where all of our session 2 teams will be encouraged to finish Session 2
  • You can save your credits for this league, or utilize them for the mini leagues. If you can, we would appreciate it if you save these credits until the September league.
  • Of course, if you are uncomfortable returning to league play by then, please refer to the paragraphs in the introduction of this email.
Sunday - Women's, Coed, Men's 2x2 - June 21st - July 26th:
  • 5 Week League (Sunday)
  • No league play on Sunday, July 5th
  • 3 Rotations (1:00pm / 2:30pm / 4:00pm)
  • 3 Divisions (D1 / D2 / D3) 
  • 1 Match (3 games) per Sunday
  • $100 in fees / credits
  • *We will potentially be utilizing all indoor and outdoor courts*
CANCELLED - 2x2 LUNCHY MUNCHY League (June 16th - July 17th) - CANCELLED
  • 5 Week League (Tuesday - Friday)
  • Women's, Coed, Men's
  • $100 fees / credits
  • Tuesday-Friday
  • 11:30am - 1:00pm

*These leagues are temporary and do not come with priority when normal leagues resume

Disclaimer: As everyone knows, this is an ever evolving situation and ALL policies are subject to change/addition at any time

Entering and Exiting the Oasis:

  • Policy will be explained in depth to teams who register
  • Based on guidelines and restrictions for restaurants when leagues resume

Mask Policy:

  • All players will be required to wear a mask while inside the facility (bar/dining area, restrooms, any staging area inside and around the 7 indoor courts). 
  • Players are not required to wear a mask while playing (inside or out), eating or drinking. 
  • Any player that chooses to not abide by our indoor mask policy will be asked to leave immediately and not welcome back in until he/she is wearing a mask.
  • Players are responsible for providing masks, Oasis will not have masks available

 Personal and Equipment Sanitizing:

  • All players will be required to sanitize their hands upon entering the facility as well as immediately before their match.
  • Oasis staff will provide 4 sanitized volleyballs for each court prior to their match. Do not bring your own ball.
  • All shared surfaces (tables, etc) will be sanitized by Oasis staff between each round of matches
  • There will be no changing clothes on site. All players will need to arrive to their match in the clothes they are going to play in.
  • Water bottles left in the building will be discarded at the end of the day and not left in lost and found.

Spectator Policy:

  • Only players actually playing volleyball will be allowed into the building
  • No spectators will be allowed to enter including children

Roster Information and Contact Tracing:

  • Prior to each match, all players will need to confirm their attendance with an Oasis staff member and verify contact information. This is important as it was one of the components that will allow us to re-open; the ability to contact trace if necessary.
  • All players will need to re-sign an updated roster/waiver form prior to participating in the league and update contact information.

Please Disregard Any Following Information Until The World Returns to "Normal":

League Notes and Updates:

MID SEPTEMBER - EARLY MAY
All teams will play a total of 4 games to 25 (cap at 27). 2 games against two different opponents.
Women: 42 teams split into 3 divisions; starting times rotate between 7:20am, 8:50am & 10:20am.
Coed: 42 teams split into 3 division; starting times rotate between 12:00pm, 3:00pm & 6:00pm for the Upper, Middle & Lower divisions.
Men: 42 teams split into 3 divisions; starting times rotate between 1:30pm, 4:30pm & 7:30pm for the Upper, Middle & Lower divisions.

EARLY JUNE - LATE AUGUST
- All teams will play a total of 6 games to 21 CAP at 23 each Sunday (3 games against two different opponents).

- All games will be played on the inside and outside courts.


Women: 20 teams, split into 3 divisions that will play at 1:30pm every week.
Coed: 20 teams, split into 3 divisions that will play at 3:30pm every week.
Men: 20 teams, split into 3 divisions that will play at 5:30pm every week.

 

Session 1 league runs from January 5th - February 23rd, 2020. (8 weeks)
- End Of Session (EOS) tournaments will be held on Sunday, March 1st & Sunday March 8th.
- 99% of communication is with email, please make sure emails are up to date.
- Roster forms are due by the end of week 2.
- If a roster has not been submitted by the end of week 2, players who are not on the rosters will not be allowed to participate in the EOS tournament.
- During Session 3, 2019 Summer teams hold priority first, then wait list, then new teams and finally current Session 2 2019 teams. During Session 1, 2 and 4 all current teams hold priority for the next session as long as they don't violate the No Show policy and have their paperwork & payment turned in by the end of the 7th week of league.
